About: The Santuário project was started by Luiz Paulo in 2015. His intention was to create unique Brazilian coffees through innovating with new varieties, cultivation practices, and processing methods. Currently, Luiz grows more than 30 exotic varieties on Santuário Sul including Geisha, Sudan Rume, SL-28, and Laurina, to name a few.
With much care, the varieties planted here are closely monitored to offer the best result within the climactic conditions of the region. Also, Luiz Paulo makes sure to always cup the first samples of each of these coffees. This coffee was picked by hand and taken to the wet mill, where the beans were separated with water in the washer, and then dried on African beds for 23 days.
Santuário Sul has achieved a special position in the market, and Luiz is renowned for his pioneering spirit. “The goal is to always be at the vanguard of the market and offer increasingly more quality!”
