Region: Las Flores, Santa Barbara
Elevation: 1500 - 1580 masl
About: It all started in 1970 when Nahun’s grandfather, Andrés, moved to the Santa Barbara region and helped his son, Andrés Jr., buy some land. Together on this land they planted their first Bourbon trees and the coffee story of the Fernandez family began. Nahun started producing coffee on his own when he was 16 years old on a small plot of land passed down to him by his father. Today, Nahun, his father, and his brothers all produce coffee at Finca Don Andrés.
Proud Mary has been buying Nahun’s washed Pacas since 2012. It is consistent year in and year out and is the benchmark of quality for washed coffees from the Santa Barbara. It is sweet and juicy with notes of stone fruit and caramel.
