About: This coffee is comprised of the combined efforts of 20 smallholder producers in the town of Tablón de Gómez, Nariño. Each producer’s coffee is cupped and scored separately to ensure that only coffees of a high enough quality are included in the lot. The department of Nariño is located in the far southwestern corner of Colombia, wedged between Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean. Coffee has been cultivated here since the mid-16th century, but only fairly recently has Nariño earnt recognition for producing coffees with unique and desirable characteristics, in part due to the rich volcanic soil and unique topography of the land.
